Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 29, 2026
1. Overview
This policy explains what information in2play, operated by IN2Labs, collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. in2play is a social sports app for finding pickleball sessions, logging games, and connecting with other players.
2. Information we collect
Account information: your email address and your login credentials, or, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the identifier and email that provider shares with us. We use this to create and secure your account.
Profile information: your name, @username, photo, bio, and skill level, which are shown to other players. A location label on your profile (such as a city) is shown to others only if you turn on “Show on my profile”.
Game and session activity: the games you log, sessions you create or join, RSVPs and attendance, posts, comments, photos and videos you share, and who you follow.
Messages: the messages you send in session chats and groups. in2play does not have one-to-one direct messages.
Approximate location: if you allow location access, we use your phone’s GPS to work out a coarse position (rounded to roughly 1 km, never your exact spot) so we can show sessions and players near you. When you publish a public post, it is tagged with an approximate area and city name (for example “near Austin”) so it can appear in the local feed. Posts in a private group are not tagged with a location. You can turn location access off in your phone’s settings at any time; in2play still works without it, but nearby features will be limited.
Gender (optional): if you choose to answer, it is kept private and used only to decide your eligibility for Men’s and Women’s sessions. It is never shown to other players.
Device and diagnostic data: push notification tokens for your device, and crash and performance reports (device model, OS version, app version, and the events leading up to a crash).
Product analytics: a small set of usage events tied to your account (for example that you completed setup, viewed or joined a session, created a group, logged a game, or shared an invite), with the app version and platform. We use them only to understand which parts of in2play are used and to improve the app. They never include message text, post content, your location, or anyone else’s identity, and they are not shared with advertisers or used to track you across other apps or websites. Feedback you send from Settings is stored with your account, app version and device model so we can reproduce what you report.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to operate the app: to run your account, show your profile and activity to the players you intend to reach, surface nearby sessions and players, deliver chat messages and notifications, keep the community safe through reporting and moderation, and diagnose and fix crashes and bugs. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking across other companies’ apps and websites.
4. Service providers
We rely on a small set of processors to run the app, and share only the information they need to provide their service:
Supabase — hosting, database, authentication, and file storage for your account and content.
Apple and Google — sign in with Apple and sign in with Google, if you use them; and Apple’s and Google’s push services (APNs and Firebase Cloud Messaging), through Expo’s push service, to deliver notifications to your device.
Google Maps — on Android, the Sessions map is provided by Google Maps, which receives the map area you view and standard device information. On iPhone the map is Apple Maps.
Sentry — crash and error reporting, so we can find and fix problems in the app. Reports may include your internal user ID, but not your name or email.
Open-Meteo — weather forecasts for outdoor sessions. The app sends only the court’s approximate location (rounded to about 1 km) to Open-Meteo to show a forecast.
5. Your rights and choices
You can view and edit your profile at any time. From Settings you can export a copy of your data, and you can permanently delete your account. You can also ask us to delete your account and data by emailing privacy@in2play.app or using the account deletion page on our website (in2play.app/delete-account). Deleting your account removes your profile, sign-in, settings, follows, blocks and notifications, and permanently deletes every post, comment and photo you shared. Games you played, sessions you hosted, your chat messages and groups you created remain so other players’ records and conversations stay intact, but they are no longer attributed to you.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your private data. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes, and backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule.
7. Children
in2play is for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
